Ali Farka Toure – Ali Toure “Farka” [LP]

Recorded in 1976, this self-titled album captures Ali Farka Tour at the very dawn of his recording career, working far from the glare of the international spotlight. Pressed in small numbers and circulating quietly for years, it remained largely unknown beyond his home country, yet within its unadorned performances lies the unmistakable spark of an artist on the cusp of greatness. Voice, guitar, and percussion with a directness and intimacy that feel both timeless and deeply personal. Once overlooked, it now stands as a captivating rediscovery, an essential early chapter in a remarkable journey, and a treasured prize for collectors and musical historians alike.A1. BandalabourouA2.
